'The Rainbow Beard Show' is hosted by Ricky Rainbow Beard and features puppets, games, special guests, stories, drawings, music, and dance parties. It’s for kids of all ages and anyone who wants to be a kid!

We focus on curiosity, play, and creating collective human experiences. We only need crayons, paper, cardboard, and some socks to tell our stories.

The 'Show' is meant to be exactly that - A show. And anyone can make their own! It’s easy! Let’s play together!

In conjunction with @risdmuseum and created as a response to the work of @lizzycollins7 and her brilliant show that just closed - MOTHERLODE - we made HAND HAMMOCKS!

The use of the holding technique present in Liz Collins’ knitted pieces inspired the idea of a tiny hammock. I also like that hammocks literally hold a person and this tiny hammock allows a person to hold their own hand. We could all use a little more holding right now 💖

Every year @newurbanarts we celebrate the season with something called ARTSGIVING where everyone gets a name and has a half hour to make a something for that person! I made this plush sword. Maybe you can’t carve a turkey with it but you can certainly have a cuddle while looking a little menacing. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’m grateful for all of you!

Heck, we’ll even have our annual HOLIDAY SALE with special vendors from 3-5pm! And some other surprises too! Hope you can all make it out to this one ☺️🌈💖🥊☀️📸

EMOTIONAL COMPOST! If you do the work to recognize kindness and gratitude while also recognizing your grief and trauma and till all of that together, you may find some rich soil like this! Here are just a handful of the potential futures people found in @astralgrandad MR. COMPOST MAN’s bucket!

People wrote down their gratitude on pieces of paper and screamed their frustrations into a compost bucket and made EMOTIONAL COMPOST from it. We just had to speed up time with our special clock 🕰️ thanks to @astralgrandad for making this magic happen and the @nokings.usa organizers for bringing people together! 📸 @dylancgiles

@astralgrandad MR. COMPOST MAN and I went to the @nokings.usa protest here in Providence today and people got to make their own EMOTIONAL COMPOST! Put in your gratitude and your frustrations and shake it up and speed up time and pull out something rich and good like all of these folks did! What a good time together with lots of people saying no to fascism and yes to each other ☺️🌈💖🪱

The MONSTER SHOWS were so very fun and good this year! FIGHT SHOW POSTPONED! Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the FIGHT show originally scheduled @thewilburygroup will have to be postponed for now. We will update you with the new date when we are ready and still believe it’s important to bring this topic to light in this way. This show has been a difficult but rewarding one to put together and I am personally pretty bummed about missing this opportunity to stage it this weekend but we will bring it to you all in a new and exciting way soon! PIZZA DAY @rwpgatewaycenter was a really cute, fun, weird, playful, special, pungent, and tasty time! Visitors got to play in the REALLY BIG PIZZA BOX, make a compost pizza and cook it in the EZ-FAKE PIZZA OVEN, and decorate the PIZZA PRINCESS with toppings! REALLY BIG thanks to @cosbrarian and @astralgrandad for being excellent collaborators and playful pals! REALLY BIG thanks to @rhodyslice for providing the pizza boxes and the pizza to eat! And REALLY BIG thanks to @providenceact and @pvdparks for facilitating our Ely Fund grant to make it all happen ☺️🍕🌈✨ Hope to have another PIZZA DAY again soon so we can all remember that we are in this pizza box together.

This is the third and final installment of this show for the season and it sure is a weird and silly exploration of what it means to get dressed up ☺️🌈✨ if you are near Bethel, ME this Thursday be sure to come by to check it out! Plus, this theater is so colorful and cute!
